i should really update this lol

where do i start .......

spent a week on and off putting the car together for him and makeing up bits he had been told to get or do finally get it all done get it running and it starts smokeing its tits off and when i say smokeing i mean filling my carpark full of smoke you couldnt see shit

so after fucking around with it trying to find out what was wrong with it as i though it might have been the head but i wasnt going to rip it off till i was 100% sure

so dropped the pipe of the turbo and got a face full of oil !! not fucking happy now

started it up again smoked for 2 mins and cleared cut along story short the seals we fucked on the turbo inlet side ?? never seen this before we always do hot side

stripped of the turbo manifold etc put a standard mani back on bodge and zorst up and get it running again n/a power !!!

sam had gone home by now so i got it running and gave him a ring and he said we would map it with me

i knew the spark map would be ok to drive down to him it was just the fuel so with the laptop on my lap i started to do the 20 mile trip to get it mapped abit everthing seemed ok bit it had a bit of a rattle but i couldnt work out where it was coming from

anyways got the fueling right and the rattle was getting worse so we decided to take it back home

got half way back and the engine lost all power and died but it would turn over ok

long and short of it was this

the plank had got some oil from his shed that he though was 10/40 and it wasnt my coke was thicker than the oil he put in it dont no what oil it was it could have been chip fat for all i no but hay never mind we all make mistakes

as far as i no he wont be going turbo now but thats down to him this time but he will need to make sure he puts the right oil in it next time

ive got the engine in my garden and when i have the time and not building 2 cars ill pull it apart and find out the real damage its done

pmsl cant be botherd to take it all off to put it all back on again at some point.

tbh gary i do think its best to take it off i need to clean it out and the fact that its quite loose with it moving about swaying and cant be botherd to tighten it up dont wanna be running over it but on the flip side i dont wanna be leaving a huge gaping whole at the front of my car

ooops, that is bad luck indeed with the oil, but like Jay says he won't do again. Must be a bit pissed off after all that effort to say the least.
